I like the website, www.plantbasedonabudget.com. Worth checking out.
Also consider the cookbook, Plant-Based Diet on a Budget, by Anne Merritt.
For free/reduced cost vegetables:
-Mayor's Office of Children and Families free produce: https://www.bmorechildren.com/freemeals
-www.foodrescuebaltimore.org - free veggies weekly until they are out!!! They keep their website up-to-date, but I recommend checking out their facebook page at www.facebook.com/foodrescueday/ for last-minute schedule changes, cancellations, updates and events.
-www.produceinasnap.com - Each week, at markets all around the city, they feature 10 - 15 items for you to shop, all priced between $1 - $3. There's no minimums or maximums, and they take SNAP cards (and cash/credit/debit). This website is updated weekly with what they will be selling at each market location, each week. You can also sign up for email updates about what they will have at your closest market each week.
-Shop at Aldi, or the DMG Foods Salvation Army Food store.
